Dining – Club Esse Formula:
Our service is always buffet-style, allowing all guests maximum freedom and creativity in combining flavors and portions according to their personal taste. Every day we offer regional and international dishes with a wide selection of appetizers, first and second courses, side dishes, authentic Italian pizza, fruit, and desserts. Themed evenings and a traditional Sardinian dinner are organized weekly. Still and sparkling microfiltered water, house white, red, and rosé wines, and light beer are always included at lunch and dinner with no extra charge. A selection of local wines is also available.
Food Intolerances: Due to the structural characteristics of our kitchens, we cannot guarantee the absolute absence of cross-contamination for any type of intolerance, nor can we adapt menus for individual allergies. However, the buffet includes naturally gluten-free, lactose-free, and egg-free foods. We also offer a small range of packaged gluten-free products.
For breakfast: rusks, cookies, rice cakes, sliced bread, pre-packaged snacks, jams, and muesli.
For lunch and dinner: packaged pasta, bread, and desserts.
For children: Every day, our RistoMini “Hero’s Banquet” offers a special menu for kids who can have lunch with the “Hero Camp” staff in a dedicated area at Club Esse Roccaruja.
Baby Feeding Area: A fully equipped area dedicated to children up to 3 years, open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., where parents can prepare meals and find basic fresh ingredients such as meat/vegetable/fish broth, vegetable purée, pasta, grated cheese, whole and semi-skimmed UHT milk, yogurt, cheese spreads, and seasonal fruit. Baby food jars are not provided.
“Esse Up” Package: A formula designed for guests who wish to indulge in extra comfort. Includes: Welcome Lunch (free lunch on arrival day), priority restaurant table assignment, assigned beach umbrella with one sunbed and one deckchair from the 3rd row onwards for the entire stay, and free beach towel rental with daily change.
“Esse Plus” Package: Includes all benefits of “Esse Up”, plus: priority check-in (fast-lane) with room delivery by 2:00 p.m., late check-out (keep your room until 2:00 p.m. on departure day), complimentary minibar setup, assigned beach umbrella with one sunbed and one deckchair from the 2nd row onwards, and Lunch Around option—possibility to have lunch at any Club Esse property in Sardinia (subject to reservation and availability).
Facilities, Equipment, and Sports:
Restaurant with retractable roof (“dinner under the stars”) spread over two terraces surrounded by greenery; reception, lobby, pool with wellness area and equipped solarium, hot tub, and large children’s pool; poolside music bar; Wi-Fi in common areas; two outdoor parking areas (unattended, subject to availability); Club House at Club Esse Roccaruja (650 m away); small outdoor children’s play area and outdoor fitness zone; TV room; free scheduled shuttle service; towel and stroller rental (on request); free access to Club Esse Roccaruja facilities including sports tournaments, playground, bazaar, theater for evening shows, and sports fields.
Possibility to rent rubber boats and e-bikes and to join a rich program of excursions to the island of Asinara, Alghero, the Maddalena archipelago, and more, all departing directly from the hotel. Diving center on site.
Beach: Equipped with beach volleyball and beach tennis courts. Located 650 m from the hotel and reachable via a free shuttle. Each room includes one beach umbrella, one deckchair, and one sunbed (unassigned) starting from the second row. First-row umbrellas available on request and payable locally.
Entertainment:
The wide Roccaruja Holiday Center, which includes Club Esse Sporting, offers large spaces perfectly suited for activities. The cheerful and engaging entertainment team accompanies guests throughout their vacation with a rich program of leisure, sports, and shows that blend relaxation and fun in a friendly and joyful atmosphere.
Children & Teens:
The mascot Pink Hero, the penguin from the North, welcomes young heroes with fun, creative, and educational activities focused on ecology.
Hero Camp (ages 3–12, divided by age group) runs from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Roccaruja with trained staff. Each day features a new theme with games, nature experiences, crafts, sports, theater, and music.
Young Club (ages 13–18) offers social and recreational opportunities through sports tournaments, creative workshops, and special events designed for teenagers.
Shiatsu Weeks: From June 9 to June 30 and from September 1 to September 15, all Club Esse guests are invited to participate for free in Shiatsu Workshops led by instructors from the prestigious Himawari Shiatsu School, with a certificate of participation awarded.
“Esse Card”: Mandatory service card for guests aged 3 and over, payable locally. Includes Hero Camp, Young Club, entertainment, access to the pool and equipped beach (from the second row; first row available for a fee), fitness, water aerobics, beach volleyball, five-a-side football, canoe use, group dances, and evening shows.
Infant Card: Mandatory for children aged 6 months to 3 years, payable locally. Includes use of a baby cot (on request) and access to the baby feeding area (basic food provided).
Pets: One pet per room allowed (max 20 kg), upon request at booking. Not permitted in common areas or the restaurant. Mandatory cleaning fee payable locally.
Important: Guests must wear a colored wristband for the entire stay to access services.
Check-in & Check-out: Check-in after 4:00 p.m.; check-out by 10:00 a.m.
Stay days: Tuesday and/or Friday (stay begins with dinner).
Age limits always refer to uncompleted years at the start date of the stay (ID required).
The Club Esse Sporting offers 62 spacious rooms, fully renovated and set in lush greenery. All rooms are equipped with autonomous air conditioning, TV, safe, mini-fridge, hairdryer, and private bathroom. The rooms are available as double, twin, triple, and quadruple with bunk beds.
Additionally, there are Family rooms, accommodating 3 to 5 people, consisting of two separate rooms with a shared bathroom. Among these, there are 2 wonderful panoramic Suites with a terrace and sea view. All rooms feature a private, equipped outdoor area.
NOT USING THE SERVICES DOES NOT EXEMPT GUESTS FROM THE MANDATORY PAYMENT OF THE ESSE CARD AND THE INFANT CARD.
The age of children is always considered as not yet reached.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION: Before confirming the reservation and making the payment, please verify the accuracy of all the details provided in the confirmation, paying special attention to the names, hotel services, start and end dates of the stay, and related transportation (airplane, bus, ferry).
IDENTITY DOCUMENTS: All passengers, including minors and infants, must possess a valid identity document.
CHILD DISCOUNTS: The booking confirmation includes the children’s dates of birth, specifying day, month, and year. Please check this information carefully. Correct birth dates are essential for applying discounts or free stays related to the children’s age. For example, if a child is free up to the age of eight but exceeds this age at the time of check-in, the standard rates will apply, and the difference will be charged.
PETS: Guests traveling with pets must report their presence at the time of booking so that this information can be included in the confirmation. Late notifications may result in penalties or management fees if the selected property does not allow pets.
Furthermore, for ferry travel, a pet on board supplement of Euro 35.00 applies, and pets are not allowed in cabins, which are available on request only. The pet cabin costs vary depending on the period and the ferry company.
FERRY TRAVEL: For trips departing by ferry, vehicle details (type, model, and license plate) will be shown directly on the booking confirmation and subsequently on the travel ticket. The ferry package includes:
• For daytime crossings: accommodation in deck passage for all routes.
• For overnight crossings: accommodation in reclining seat for all routes. Children up to 4 years old (infants) cannot occupy a seat.
• Round-trip vehicle transport (maximum length 5 meters; maximum height 2.20 m for Moby/Tirrenia and 1.90 m for GNV/Grimaldi). Exceeding these limits will incur supplements depending on the company.
• Cabin accommodation (if purchased): includes 4 beds; for families of 5 people, accommodation is provided with 4 beds in the cabin + 1 deck passage.
Please note that any communication or modification of vehicle details after the confirmation has been issued will result in a change fee of Euro 50.00, plus any reissue costs for the ticket.
Ferry companies, for technical, organizational, operational, or force majeure reasons, reserve the right to make changes to the ship schedules, including times, routes, and type of vessel used.
Such changes will be promptly communicated via SMS to the contact numbers provided at the time of booking.
CANCELLATION INSURANCE: The cancellation insurance is optional and subject to an extra fee. It must be requested at the time of booking and cannot be added later.
SPECIAL REQUESTS: Please note that any special requests indicated in the booking cannot be guaranteed, and telephone requests will not be considered.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR BOOKINGS UNTIL 28/02:
Cancellations up to 30 working days before departure: no penalty
From 29 to 21 working days before departure: 25% of the total amount
From 20 to 11 working days before departure: 50%
From 10 to 3 working days before departure: 75%
From 2 to 0 days before departure: 100%
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR BOOKINGS FROM 01/03:
Cancellations up to 30 working days before departure: 10% of the total amount
From 29 to 21 working days before departure: 25%
From 20 to 11 working days before departure: 50%
From 10 to 3 working days before departure: 75%
From 2 to 0 days before departure: 100%
For cancellations made within the terms indicated above, for the amounts not subject to penalty, a travel voucher will be issued, valid for 12 months from the date of issue, which does not require acceptance by the recipient.
In the event of late arrival, early departure, or a reduction in the number of guests compared to the original booking, the total booking amount remains due, with no reductions for changes in the stay duration or guest number. Unused meals are non-refundable.
(**) Working days: Working days are considered 6 days per week, including Saturday.
COMMUNICATIONS: Cancellation requests are valid only if sent to Aleste Viaggi Srl in writing (letter, telegram, fax, or email). The date received by Aleste Viaggi Srl will be considered valid. Communications sent after 9:00 p.m. will be considered as received on the following day.
BOOKING CHANGES: All modification requests must be sent exclusively by email. Requests made through other channels will not be accepted. The modification fee is Euro 50, plus any additional costs related to changes in period or booked package.
FOOD INTOLERANCES AND ALLERGIES: Any food intolerances or allergies must be communicated at the time of booking. The property’s policies on this matter are indicated in the information sheets and on official websites. In case of late notifications, we will do our best to find alternative solutions; however, any additional costs or penalties charged by the property will remain the customer’s responsibility.
PAYMENT TERMS: Payment for the travel package must be made according to the methods and deadlines indicated at the time of booking. Failure to meet these deadlines will result in the cancellation of the reservation, with loss of any amounts paid.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT: Check-in is scheduled from 4:00 p.m.; check-out by 10:00 a.m.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Travel documents will be sent in electronic format 7 days before departure.
